Camino to Santiago de Compostela

Remember who you are on a spiritual journey on the camino, spain.

having reverence for yourself

"The purpose of the spiritual journey is to remember who you are."
~ One of our most beloved teachers

On the outside, you look successful.
On the inside, you feel restless, disconnected, and tired.

You shoulder a lot of responsibility. People rely on you. Decisions come easily for you, but rest does not. Your days are full, your mind is busy, and even when life is good, something feels unfinished.

This pilgrimage is an invitation to step out of the constant demands of everyday life so you can reconnect with yourself and create space for your own thoughts again.

Over the course of this journey, we will walk the ancient Camino Francés together. You will walk more than 100 kilometers, about 62 miles, over six days. It is a meaningful physical accomplishment, and it is also something deeper. A way to quiet the noise, settle your nervous system, and remember who you are beneath the roles you carry.

This is not a vacation.
It is a sacred reset.

What this experience is about

The Camino is more than a trail. It is an ancient path walked for centuries by those seeking clarity, meaning, and truth.

Each day, the simplicity of walking creates space. Sometimes the experience is breathtaking. Golden fields, stone villages, long conversations, and shared laughter. Other times, it is uncomfortable. Tired legs, unpredictable weather, and long stretches of silence.

Both are essential.

What makes this pilgrimage different is the coaching. This is not a solo journey and it is not a casual group walk. This is a guided coaching immersion within a sacred pilgrimage.

We will walk with you, coach you, and support you throughout the experience. As movement quiets the mind, patterns surface naturally. That is where the coaching comes in.

One-on-one sessions are more direct and focused. Group coaching is reflective and inquiry-based. You are never required to share if you do not want to. Emotional safety and autonomy are central to how we lead.

You will not be left alone to process what arises, and you will not be pushed beyond your capacity. This experience is designed to challenge you while supporting you intelligently.

The Structure of the Journey

This pilgrimage is intentionally designed to balance effort, reflection, and integration.

  • Night 1: Arrival and welcome dinner. We gather as a group to set intentions, establish safety, and ground into the journey ahead.
  • Days 1 through 6: Walking days on the Camino. We walk approximately 3 to 5 hours per day, covering over 100 kilometers across the six days. Coaching, reflection, silence, and connection are woven throughout.
  • Day 7: A full integration day in Santiago de Compostela. This day is for rest, reflection, sightseeing, and a special surprise we have planned for the group. No walking requirements.
  • Day 8: Departure day. Guests check out and arrange their own transport back to the airport.

This pacing matters. Integration is not an afterthought. It is part of the work.

What You Can Expect Each Day

Each day will include a balance of movement, reflection, and support:

  • Morning meditation or gentle yoga
  • Guided walking with reflective prompts and time in silence
  • Afternoon rest, journaling, and nourishment
  • Group coaching and integration circles
  • One on one coaching with Sara and Lisa
  • Shared dinners filled with presence, connection, and conversation

The Camino will ask something of you physically, but it will give back clarity, perspective, and a deep sense of grounding in return.

Who This Is For

This pilgrimage is for you if:

  • You carry a high level of responsibility and rarely have space to step away from it
  • Success has come at the cost of your energy, presence, or sense of inner clarity
  • You crave time away from constant demands so you can reconnect with yourself
  • You are open to silence, nature, and honest self-reflection
  • You want an experience that challenges you physically while supporting you emotionally and mentally
  • You value connection, depth, and shared experience without forced vulnerability

This is not for those looking for a casual walking holiday. It is not for people who need constant hand-holding or who are unwilling to prepare physically. It is not for those uncomfortable with unpredictability or uninterested in connection.

You do not need advanced hiking experience, but you do need a willingness to train and prepare for the distance. We will be walking for multiple hours each day.

FAQs

How physically demanding is the Camino?

This pilgrimage involves walking approximately 100 kilometers (about 62 miles) over six walking days. On average, we walk 3 to 5 hours per day, depending on terrain, weather, and your pace.

Daily distances are intentional and varied:

  • Day 1: Sarria to Portomarín – 22 km (13.7 miles)
  • Day 2: Portomarín to Palas de Rei – 22 km (13.7 miles)
  • Day 3: Palas de Rei to Melide – 14 km (8.7 miles)
  • Day 4: Melide to Arzúa – 14 km (8.7 miles)
  • Day 5: Arzúa to Amenal – 23 km (14.3 miles)
  • Day 6: Amenal to Santiago – 14 km (8.7 miles)

You do not need to be an athlete, but you do need to be willing to prepare. This experience is designed for capable adults who are open to physical challenge and understand the importance of training ahead of time.

Do I need hiking experience?

No formal hiking experience is required. What matters most is your willingness to prepare physically and to listen to your body during the walk.

If you are able to walk for several hours at a steady pace and are committed to building endurance in advance, you will be well supported throughout the journey.

Will I have to carry my luggage?

No. Your luggage will be transported each day.

You will walk with only a day pack, carrying essentials such as water, snacks, and any personal items you want access to during the walk. This allows you to focus on the experience rather than logistics.

What happens on arrival day? Transfers?

All guests are expected to be in Sarria on September 25th.

The best airport to fly into is Santiago de Compostela SCQ. We will provide transfer information closer to the date regarding where and when you'll be picked up.

What kind of accommodations should I expect?

We stay in superior, boutique-style accommodations along the Camino. Comfort matters to us.

You can expect clean, thoughtfully chosen hotels that allow for rest and restoration at the end of each walking day. This is a higher-end Camino experience, not a hostel-based trek.

Is this a group retreat or a solo experience?

This is neither a typical group retreat nor a solo pilgrimage.

It is a coaching immersion within a sacred pilgrimage. You will walk alongside others, share meals, and participate in group coaching conversations. At the same time, there is ample space for alone time, silence, reflection, and personal processing.

You are never required to share in the group if you choose not to. Autonomy and emotional safety are central to how we lead.

What does the coaching look like during the Camino?

Coaching is woven into the experience intentionally.

  • One-on-one coaching is more direct and focused
  • Group coaching is inquiry-based and reflective

As the body moves and the nervous system settles, patterns surface naturally. We meet those moments with skilled coaching, not forced vulnerability or emotional pressure.

You will be supported, but not managed or micromanaged.

I carry a lot of responsibility in my life. Will I actually get to rest?

Yes, and this is one of the core intentions of the pilgrimage.

This experience is designed to remove daily demands and decision fatigue. Meals, accommodations, luggage, and logistics are handled for you. Your only responsibility is to walk, eat, rest, and be present.

Many participants experience this as the first extended period of time where nothing is required of them.

What happens after we arrive in Santiago?

After completing the final walking day into Santiago, we intentionally slow the pace.

  • Day 7 is a full integration day with no walking requirements
  • Time for rest, reflection, sightseeing, and a special surprise we have planned
  • A farewell dinner to close the experience together

Integration is a key part of this journey. We do not rush the ending.

What happens on departure day?

  • Day 8 (October 3) is departure day
  • Guests check out and arrange their own transportation back to the airport

We are happy to provide guidance on transportation options, but return travel is not included.

Is this experience suitable if I am uncomfortable with silence?

Silence is part of the Camino, and discomfort is often part of growth.

If you are open to being with yourself without constant distraction, this experience can be deeply rewarding. If silence feels intolerable or something you actively want to avoid, this may not be the right fit.

Is this a religious pilgrimage?

The Camino has deep spiritual and historical roots, but this experience is not religious.

It is spiritual in the sense that it invites reflection, presence, meaning, and connection. People of all belief systems are welcome.

How many people are attending?

This experience is limited to 16 participants, plus the two of us as your guides. 8 spots have already been filled.

This small group size allows for meaningful connection, personalized coaching, and depth of experience. Once the group is full, registration closes.
