I love food too.

I really do.

BUT…

I love how I feel about ME more than I love food.

I want to feel amazing, have my favourite jeans fit EVERYDAY and the confidence that comes with feeling comfortable in my skin.

I want this for every single woman I work with.

Losing weight is not about living with deprivation or lack and it is NOT about giving up foods you love.

It is about taking responsibility for how you want to feel and DOING what you need to do to MOVE you forwards towards your goals.

Bottom line

To get the things you want, sometimes you have to do the sh*t you DON’T want to do.

Spoiler alert:

If you are waiting for the right conditions or a burning desire to change your lifestyle to suddenly show up, it isn’t going to happen.

You may need to force yourself.  Yep.. that’s right, FORCE YOURSELF.

For some it is about finding the initial motivation, and I always like to help guide people to find their inspiration BUT sometimes (most times) you are battling your inner child that just doesn’t want to do the thing you know you need to do.

Your love of (donuts, hotdogs, potato chips, chocolate, baked goods and deep fried pickles … gross but trying to cover all my bases here) is NOT going to help you lose weight.

Staying with a boyfriend who treats you like sh*t is not going to get you the happy marriage.

If you didn’t hit snooze over and over, what do you think you could accomplish in those morning hours?  But hey, who wouldn’t want to sleep in everyday?

Letting your kids play video games 24/ 7 would not result in healthy kids.

(but they would if you let them right?!  You see what I am getting at??)

Do your kids ever really want to go to school?  NO, but you make them because unless you want them to grow up hustling for change at the side of the highway, they must get some sort of education.

So who is running the show?

Can you be the adult in the relationship you are having with yourself and lay the smack down on the activities that are no longer acceptable?

I work with women who are ready to DO what they haven’t wanted to do and are ready to lose weight and get serious about what it is going to take to make that happen.

I have to be honest.  I have been suffering from “weight loss coach shame”.

You see dieting has gotten a bad wrap and the “love your body” movement is on the rise.

I want you to love your body and I 100% support the movement away from body shame and into embracing your curves.

I also 100% support the women who want to lose weight and are wondering how the f*ck they even begin to love their bodies.

This means that I have to step up as a coach and DO what I do so well, which is help women transform their relationship with food, their bodies and themselves.

I teach women how to diet so THEY are the ones running the show.

You see being wishy washy about my message means NO ONE hears me.

I am a hybrid health/ nutrition /  transformational life coach and it often leaves me feeling exposed and wondering where I fit it.  I am not a traditional “diet” coach, however I do teach my signature system E.A.T! to help clients understand, and learn how to make choices to promote weight loss and a healthy lifestyle.

I am not a traditional body mindset coach because I also believe we MUST understand food and how to make it work for us.

True food and body freedom comes from knowing how all the pieces fit together.

You must be willing to combine the “doing” with the deeper understanding and self reflection.

I want my clients to take responsibility for their choices 100% of the time without judgement, shame or guilt AND understand it isn’t just about the food.

I am on a mission to help women find food freedom.

This means that I DO NOT provide meal plans.

I don’t endorse fake food (so please don’t pitch your supplements to me).

I don’t cleanse for weight loss (hell I don’t cleanse at all).

I like juicing as a SUPPLEMENT to my healthy nutrition but not as a lifestyle.

I DO believe in choice and the power we all have to make the choices that work best for us.

I do believe in eating responsibly and being conscious (not restrictive or crazy disciplined).

What you put in your body has such huge implications on your emotional and physical health isn’t it worth being mindful of?

I will never judge anyone for their choices however, I will do my best to challenge some of the nutritional strategies floating around and create conversation.

I get it.

A plan is easy.

No thinking.

No effort (or minimal) and hey, if you are following something healthy then you will reap the benefits of eating cleaner BUT what happens when you aren’t following your plan?

How do you eat?

How do you think about food?

How do you feel about your body and yourself when you are “off” your plan?
Do you know how to make choices without judgment?

Do you really know how all the pieces fit together?

Are you able to trust yourself to make choices that support how you want to feel?

Do you “judge” food as being good or bad?

Does your weight go up and down like a yo-yo, along with your emotions?

My E.A.T! system is not for everyone.

Not everyone wants to take the time to learn.

Not everyone wants a solid foundation of knowledge and the wisdom to know how to use it.

Not everyone wants to create a true lifestyle and do the work necessary to achieve it.

Not everyone is willing to work through the discomfort that comes with growth, change and learning.

Not everyone is willing to invest their time and money to create what they want for themselves.

Things worth having take time, work, dedication and willingness.

From building a business to building a baby.

It doesn’t happen over night but things do happen, and dreams do come to life when we are willing to put in the time and do what is necessary.

For those ready and willing to learn, get uncomfortable and have the status quo of healthy eating, eating for weight loss and dieting challenged, you have come to the right place.

Let go of being “done” and embrace the journey.
