EPISODE 290: ENCORE Why You Don’t Need a Coach But Why You May Want One

Health, Mindset, Podcasts, Transformation

In episode 290, we revisit episode 180, where Lisa dives into why hiring a 1:1 coach is the fastest way to results and the mindset that is probably holding you back.  In an era of self-help books and group programs at every turn, why is it that so many of you remain stuck when you “know” the thing holding you back?  Have you ever considered that the belief you “should” have it figured out on your own IS the block keeping you stuck from taking action?  That you’re so focused on the problem you think you have that you’re not able to see the problem you actually have?

Today’s episode talks about the framework Lisa uses with her clients to get them to a place of taking action, and why her clients get the phenomenal results they do.

This is a hard hitting episode that will challenge you to ask yourself tough questions about working with a coach and what might be possible for you if you started working from the perspective that you know nothing.

00;00;46;14 - 00;01;18;26
Lisa
Well, hey hey listeners, thanks for tuning in to another episode of the Full Frontal Living podcast. I'm your host, Lisa Carpenter. Super excited to be here with you guys again. Feeling reinvigorated. Inspired. All the things. After spending a couple days up in the beautiful interior of B.C. in the Okanagan for an amazing two day retreat that I went to, where I got to connect with other phenomenal women who are doing extraordinary things in the world.

00;01;18;28 - 00;01;43;20
Lisa
It was just it was so good for my soul after so many years of really, you know, being pretty isolated from my entrepreneurial community. And one of the things that I really love is to just be in service and to share, you know, the things that have happened in my life, in business in order to inspire and move other people in the direction of their dreams.

00;01;43;20 - 00;02;10;21
Lisa
Because so often we get caught in our own stuff. And that's really what I want to talk about today. So you're in the right place if you are a driven, ambitious, extraordinary human who wants more out of your life or out of your business without sacrificing yourself to achieve that. And I want to talk a little bit more about what this looks like.

00;02;10;24 - 00;02;32;08
Lisa
So one of the things that I have been noticing as I've been going through so many of these, market research forms that so many of you filled out and I'm so grateful for you. If you did, if you haven't yet and you've ever considered working with me, please go to the show notes and you'll find a link there, to fill it out.

00;02;32;10 - 00;02;58;08
Lisa
It's just really helping me see and understand what so many of you are getting into. And one of the things that has come up over and over again, and this was something that I used to get stuck in the weeds, was, I should know this stuff already. I should know this stuff already. Meaning, why can't I just go do the thing that I need to do?

00;02;58;10 - 00;03;24;12
Lisa
Because I know better? I know I should do this thing. I know I should take action on this thing. I know that I need to change this thing. But why? Why can't I implement the information that I know? I know I shouldn't get into worry or fear, or I shouldn't be holding all my attention on what I don't like, what I don't want, and what I don't need.

00;03;24;15 - 00;03;49;25
Lisa
So many of you have been hanging out in personal development for so long. You've read all the books, you've had the coaches you've been in, the group coaching programs, and the story you're telling yourself is you should know better. And the irony about that is that belief there that you should have it all figured out is what is keeping you trapped.

00;03;49;27 - 00;04;19;24
Lisa
So I've always said that we don't need coaches. Nobody needs a coach, right? We are all more than capable of finding our way. The way I look at coaching is having a 1 to 1 coach is the difference between getting on a bus to go across the country versus hopping on a plane. A plane is going to get you from point A to point B so much faster than if you get on a bus.

00;04;19;26 - 00;04;52;11
Lisa
Same is true for, you know, personal development. Take, for instance, group programs. And if you've been listening to this podcast for a while, you know that I am a coach inside my mentors program. It's a phenomenal program. I believe it's a foundational program for everybody. Even if you've been in self-development for a long time, we really take you deep into all the layers of yourself so that you can untangle a lot of the things that are going on, and it'll change your life.

00;04;52;14 - 00;05;29;17
Lisa
And there comes a point where you are inside the jar and you can't read the label. And this is why coaches, 1 to 1 coaches specifically can be so powerful. Because I can see the things that you can't see. I hear the things under what you're saying that guide me to what's really getting in your way. So you're telling yourself these stories about, you know, procrastination and self sabotage about this, that and the other thing, and, you know, boundary setting and all this stuff.

00;05;29;17 - 00;05;59;12
Lisa
And I hear underneath what's holding you back and I don't hold back on going deep with my clients and really pulling out the bullshit that they are working from. And this is one of the hardest things in self-development, and this is what gets people stuck, is we get into our self-deception. And part of that self-deception is believing that you should know this stuff.

00;05;59;13 - 00;06;17;29
Lisa
You should be able to live it just because you've been in the learning of it for so long. So I want to talk about a little bit about what goes on when my clients come to work with me, and why it's such a profound experience, and why their lives are so transformed on the other side. First, we have to start with creating awareness.

00;06;17;29 - 00;06;49;21
Lisa
So there are things that are holding you back. You think it's one thing, right? You think it might be about procrastination? Why can't you just go do the thing? I dive underneath that and find out what specifically is causing the procrastination, because I know that all the women and men that I work with, they know how to go do the things, and if they're procrastinating in some way, shape or form, there's another story that is creating that procrastination.

00;06;49;21 - 00;07;15;16
Lisa
There's a part of themselves that is innocently trying to protect them from something. Right? And these are the things that we discover in this kind of excavation process. And listen, when somebody signs up to work with me, they get an intake form that takes them probably close to 45 minutes to complete. Because even in making the decision to work with me, the transformation starts right out of the gate.

00;07;15;18 - 00;07;51;07
Lisa
The transformation starts with you diving into you and asking yourself or answering these questions that you've probably never asked yourself before. Having you have. You look at your life in a different way, and from what you tell me on those forms, I learned so much about you. And because I've been doing this work now for two decades, I can see right past the answers that you've given me and understand what things are actually holding you back, and things that if I said, hey, this is the thing, you'd say, no, that's not the problem.

00;07;51;09 - 00;08;13;27
Lisa
Most of you would say, no, that's not the problem. It's this. So I can tell you, when I dive in with my 1 to 1 clients and start asking those even harder questions, there is no denying, there's absolutely no denying what is actually going on underneath. But we have to go through this excavation or this kind of awareness process.

00;08;13;29 - 00;08;44;03
Lisa
Then what comes next is this place of acceptance. Like, holy crap, what I thought was the problem isn't the problem. And I don't know if I want to look at this problem in a different way. So for instance, for many, many, many years in my business, I thought I had a problem with my money. And ironically, the reason I had a problem with my money was because I was constantly holding my attention on the problem that I had with my money.

00;08;44;05 - 00;09;10;07
Lisa
And I can tell you, it was really eye opening for me when I realized that if I stopped worrying about my money, there was no problem. So it didn't mean that there weren't things that I needed to take responsibility for. But the block that I was looking for around why I could not make money in my business was because I was constantly holding my attention on what I didn't have, what wasn't happening.

00;09;10;10 - 00;09;36;07
Lisa
Instead of looking around at my life and recognizing that I had everything that I needed so I could focus on worrying about money, or I could put my attention on what I really needed to do in my business to generate revenue to generate clients. So when I shifted off of worrying about my money, because here's the thing for all the years and the hours that I spent worrying about my money, nothing bad had ever happened.

00;09;36;15 - 00;09;58;10
Lisa
So when I started taking inventory, I always managed to pay my bills, right? Everything was always taken care of. There was a roof over my head. I had, you know, I had everything I needed money to buy gas. I had money to buy food. You know, I lived in a beautiful home. Like I looked around at my life and thought, Holy crap.

00;09;58;13 - 00;10;11;02
Lisa
Like, why am I living from this place of lack and scarcity and there's no money? When the truth was, I was surrounded by abundance, but I was just unwilling to see it.

00;10;11;04 - 00;10;35;07
Lisa
And maybe that's true for you too. Perhaps you're focusing on a problem, and you focusing on that problem is what's creating more of that problem. I see this with women and their physical bodies. They're focusing so much on wanting to lose weight. Well, what might happen if you shifted your attention to focusing on being well and your health?

00;10;35;10 - 00;10;57;08
Lisa
Because your weight isn't a problem. Your weight is a symptom of your lack of value in your health, right? Your money is not a problem. It's your lack of valuing your relationship with wealth and abundance. Those are. That's what it's a hard pill for me to swallow. I'm not going to lie. It was a hard pill for me to swallow.

00;10;57;10 - 00;11;20;13
Lisa
But the way that I did this is I started looking at okay, Lisa, right when the worries would come up, when I'd want to obsess about that problem again, I would say, okay, has anything bad happened today? Yes or no? No. Did anything bad happened yesterday regarding my money? Yes or no? Now? Okay, well, what are the chances that something bad is going to happen today?

00;11;20;16 - 00;11;35;19
Lisa
Probably not. So is there anything I really need to worry about today? Is there anything that I need to take care of regarding my money today? Yes or no? No. And then I was like, okay, we're not going to worry about this. So I actually set a rule that I was no longer allowed to worry about money.

00;11;35;19 - 00;11;57;16
Lisa
So if it came up, I ran myself through those questions. I usually came to, okay, well, nothing is different today from yesterday and nothing bad happened yesterday. And then I would make the decision to put my focus on something else, something I could control. What kind of conversation could I have? What content could I create? What could I send out to my clients potential clients?

00;11;57;16 - 00;12;25;13
Lisa
Right? How could I show up in my life differently? Maybe it meant that, you know, I needed to go take care of something in my business, around my money. So there were lots of different things that I've worked on, right? But I had to get to that place of accepting that my problem with money wasn't the problem. It was the relationship that I was having with myself and the stories that I had been telling myself about my money.

00;12;25;15 - 00;12;44;16
Lisa
Okay, so the next kind of step in, in this full frontal living process, and this is where a 1 to 1 coach is so incredibly powerful because it's the practice phase, and this is the part that nobody wants to do, right. We want to talk about it. We want to talk about our problems. We want to marinate in our problems.

00;12;44;16 - 00;13;03;29
Lisa
We want to roll around in our problems. We want to journal about our problems. We want to tell ourself that we know exactly what the problem is, and then we don't take action on the problem. And this is the hardest part for people. It's the taking action. It's the having the hard conversations. It's doing what you've been avoiding doing.

00;13;04;06 - 00;13;26;16
Lisa
It's sitting down when procrastination shows up and saying, look, we made a commitment to ourself about this. Let's just get it done. When I was writing my book, which I wrote with the support of a ghostwriter, because it just felt so overwhelming, and here I thought, well, the ghostwriter is just going to write my book and he's going to take all my content.

00;13;26;16 - 00;13;46;07
Lisa
He's going to put it together and bing, bang, boom, that's going to be it. Oh, that was so not what it was, right? Because he sent me back drafts and I had to read them and then edit them. And then I had lots of things that I wanted to say. Oh, and it was so hard, right? Because it required me being super focused.

00;13;46;07 - 00;14;09;21
Lisa
And he was working on a deadline, like there was no way he was going to let me drag this out so that wanting to procrastinate on it wasn't really an option for me. So I remember taking an entire week and going and putting my butt in a chair at the coffee shop and just reading and writing. I had no other tabs open because I'm like, we have to get this done.

00;14;09;21 - 00;14;35;01
Lisa
Lisa and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I just wanted to open Facebook for five minutes, or check my Instagram or write an email, or do something else that felt a lot more fun than editing and rewriting and editing and reading and rewriting my book. It was really hard. It was really hard. But I wanted that end result.

00;14;35;01 - 00;15;04;27
Lisa
I wanted that book in the end. So I had to do the things that I didn't want to do. And so often we get stuck in this, right? We we believe that, you know, everything in our life should be easy. And what keeps so many of us trapped is we are so comfortable with our bullshit. We are more comfortable with our bullshit than taking action and being in the discomfort of what it's going to take to create change.

00;15;05;03 - 00;15;25;26
Lisa
And when you're working with a 1 to 1 coach, do you think that I'm going to be like, oh, it's okay, don't worry. No, that's not how it works. If we have a conversation about, you need to set a boundary in order to create what it is you want for yourself. And it might be feeling more energized. And that means the boundary is you have to leave work at a specific time every day.

00;15;25;28 - 00;15;50;17
Lisa
And listen, I've set these boundaries with clients, right? We've talked about it. She's leaving work at 8:00 every night. Okay. Can we get you down to 5:00 or 6:00? And then she had to take action on actually closing her laptop and leaving the office earlier. Right. If it was setting boundaries around not working on the weekends, the client had to take action on those.

00;15;50;22 - 00;16;08;28
Lisa
Maybe it was about, okay, I need to reach out to X number of people this week. I've got a client who is working on a coaching practice of his, and he has to get out into the community that he wants to support. So he has to actually go take action on that, not just sit and talk about it.

00;16;09;00 - 00;16;35;24
Lisa
Right. Or it might be writing, doing the writing that they need to do, putting the offer out there. But this practice part is about learning to expand your capacity for discomfort. And this is what I am such an expert at, is holding people's feet to the fire around. You're going to go do that uncomfortable thing? I mean, I had a client once and I adore her.

00;16;35;26 - 00;17;02;08
Lisa
She would like she would rather go do laundry than sit down at her desk and hammer out the things that she needed for business growth. Yet she was frustrated that her business wasn't going in the direction that she needed to go. So we had I had to support her in learning how to expand her capacity to be in the discomfort and recognize that that when things don't feel good, that means you're doing something different.

00;17;02;15 - 00;17;25;07
Lisa
Because in the procrastination, in the stroking of all your suffering, you're just marinating in this space that is super comfortable for you, and you have to look at what that's costing you, what it's costing you in your relationships to be in that comfortable place. But you you don't like what's going on or in your business in this uncomfortable place, but you want different.

00;17;25;10 - 00;17;47;19
Lisa
In order to have different, you need to do different. And sometimes even when we think we've got a quote unquote block, you still need to go do the things. Because if you continue to focus on the block, it again comes back to you. You're focusing on a problem that you may not have if you're able to go take the action.

00;17;47;19 - 00;18;09;28
Lisa
But we've got to find out, like, what is the thing that is holding you back from taking that action? And sometimes that accountability to go do the thing is what's going to get you over the edge, right? And then what you finally get to is this place of embodiment, where you have become so aware of your red flags.

00;18;09;29 - 00;18;34;26
Lisa
So red flags are behaviors that you get into that will stop you in your tracks. Perhaps it's like instead of just telling your husband how you feel when he does X, Y, and Z, you go back into, you know, just anger or being passive aggressive, which many of my clients have gotten into being passive aggressive instead of just taking ownership for how they're feeling.

00;18;34;29 - 00;19;01;10
Lisa
So when I have a client who gets to that place, who can be fully responsible for how they're showing up in the world, listen, they don't go into that like, oh, I should know everything and I should never have these problems again. It's not that they actually know how to show up for themself with compassion and grace. They understand that asking for help, that making missteps, that getting caught in those red flag behaviors are part of the process.

00;19;01;17 - 00;19;25;13
Lisa
But it's learning how to bring yourself back to center faster so that you're not, like, in the weeds for a long time. So I think about this pendulum swinging back and forth, right. It's swinging super wide. The more you do this work with a 1 to 1 coach who's really skilled at discovering what it is that's going on for you, the less that pendulum is going to swing.

00;19;25;16 - 00;19;48;13
Lisa
And for most of my, you know, driven, ambitious clients who want to achieve things, learning how to ask for help, learning how to be vulnerable. Right. Because this story of I should know this is it keeps them so trapped it can't be trapped for so many years. I would never allow myself to be supported. I would never allow myself to ask for help, let alone receive help.

00;19;48;15 - 00;20;15;05
Lisa
But that's what keeps so many of us trapped. So learning that, oh, I don't actually have to have it all figured out. And the most loving, compassionate thing for me to give myself is to be open and vulnerable in a space with people that I can trust, whether that's with a coach. And I bring my 1 to 1 clients together so that they can cultivate relationships with other women who are very much like them.

00;20;15;05 - 00;20;52;08
Lisa
And they realize like, oh my God, like we're all the same. We're all doing this thing, but we all hold each other to this, like, amazing, like we know what's possible for each other. So it's never like, oh my God, I can't believe you did that again. It's such a beautiful and supportive, environment, so it's something to consider is you have to look at or you want to consider the value you'll get out of working with a 1 to 1 coach.

00;20;52;10 - 00;21;23;26
Lisa
So it's taking you from that place of knowing to implementing and not getting caught in your stories. And this is going to allow you to stop getting into things like procrastinating or feeling like an imposter. Or if you do, you'll know how to navigate it in a much easier way. So that's going to mean you're putting yourself out in the world, which is going to create a feeling of greater competence, which leads to more confidence and a deeper trust.

00;21;23;26 - 00;21;43;14
Lisa
Deeper self trust, a deeper knowing of who you really are. So what was really beautiful for me over these past couple of days at this retreat, I as I was reflecting on how much I've grown and changed, you know, these past two years I've been working with a 1 to 1 coach for as long as I can remember.

00;21;43;14 - 00;22;13;14
Lisa
I always have, usually a couple coaches, depending on what I'm needing support with. And then of course, I have, my mentor as well. And I was thinking about these past two years, what I have really focused on is honing my craft and really not shrinking. And I remember, a dear friend saying to me, you know, because I used to be afraid of standing out, like I literally was afraid of standing out.

00;22;13;14 - 00;22;34;28
Lisa
I didn't want to be too big or too much. I didn't want anybody else to feel bad. And I actually felt like it wasn't safe for me to stand out. And I remember her saying to me, like, Lisa, you not standing out is like a dragon unicorn standing in the middle of a field, not standing. You know, it's not possible for a dragon unicorn in the middle of a field to not stand out.

00;22;35;00 - 00;23;05;01
Lisa
And these past couple of years, I've really come to a place of accepting that I'm here to lead, and that I had all these stories holding me back from leading. And I have practiced over and over again what leadership looks like for me. I have taken consistent action over and over again, doing the hard, uncomfortable things. I've taken action on doing the things that I've been avoiding doing because I get into my stuff too, right?

00;23;05;01 - 00;23;27;28
Lisa
So after all these years of doing this work, guess what? I still have my own stuff that I get into. I still end up in my own coaches voxer saying like, why am I doing this to myself? Why am I holding my attention here? Why can't I get over this? I've learned how to expand my capacity for navigating the discomfort, and I've really embodied who I am now as a leader and as a coach.

00;23;27;28 - 00;23;51;21
Lisa
I don't shrink for anybody. If I have something to say, I'm going to speak up and say it. And that was really so evident over these past couple of days with these women, because I really showed up, not just for them. I showed up for myself, I didn't shrink, I didn't shrink, I spoke up, I served, and, it was a really amazing experience to see.

00;23;51;21 - 00;24;18;22
Lisa
These past two years have been a beautiful incubator, because I used to walk into events like this and literally like, shut down, hide in the corner, and that's not what I'm here to do. I cannot support people in their own growth and development if I am going to play small. So when I show up as that full embodiment of who I am and what I'm capable of, I give other people permission to do the same.

00;24;18;22 - 00;24;42;25
Lisa
And not only that, I help them uncover things that they didn't even know were holding them back. And I believe that the women who left that retreat each got a nugget for me that will change how they show up in their lives. So what is it costing you to get stuck in your stories of that? You should know this.

00;24;42;28 - 00;25;04;01
Lisa
How much longer are you going to use that as an excuse to not make the investment in yourself that you need to make in order to have what you want? What is that worth to you? What is that worth to you? What would change in your life if these things didn't exist? If the stories you're telling yourself didn't exist?

00;25;04;01 - 00;25;26;20
Lisa
If those problems were gone, what would be possible for you? And how much longer are you going to carry the burden of trying to figure that out on your own? Getting back on the bus instead of flying? Instead of investing in an airline ticket, that's what's available to you.

00;25;26;23 - 00;25;30;10
Lisa
So with all that said.

00;25;30;12 - 00;25;54;07
Lisa
The choice is always yours. You know I am where I am in my life, in my business, because I always banked on myself. Right. So it wasn't about asking a coach to do it for me or a therapist to do it for me. I've created what is in my life because I did it for me, because of the choices that I made.

00;25;54;10 - 00;26;24;14
Lisa
I bet on myself and I did the work. But thank goodness I had phenomenal coaches and mentors asking me hard questions and challenging me on my own garbage because I would still be sitting there going, but I know this. In fact, I remember when I started through my my mentors program and the first round because I think it's been 11 rounds.

00;26;24;14 - 00;26;40;29
Lisa
I've gone through it now, and I'm one of the senior coaches in the program, and I remember the first round going like, none of this is new. I know this stuff. And when I put down that attitude of, I know this, and I really actually allowed myself to go, like, what if you know nothing, Lisa? Like, what if that is utter bullshit?

00;26;40;29 - 00;27;14;13
Lisa
Like, what if you know nothing? When I allowed myself to come from a perspective of I'm empty, what can I learn here? I realized that I didn't know, like I thought I knew, but I didn't know because again, we cannot see the label from inside our own jar. So on that note, I've given you lots to consider, so much to consider, and hopefully within this episode, it's really going to give you something to reflect on.

00;27;14;13 - 00;27;33;10
Lisa
If you've been telling yourself this story that you should already have it figured out, or why would I invest more money when I already know this stuff? You know nothing, right? You have information, but information is nothing without action. Nothing.

00;27;33;13 - 00;28;06;14
Lisa
Unless you choose to do differently, you'll just be swirling around in the self-abuse of pattern of I should know better, I should know better. And the last time I checked, we can't create amazing success for our for ourselves from a place of shame and beating ourselves up. So that may being hard on yourself may have worked for you when you were younger to move yourself forward, but there comes a point in time in your life that being hard on yourself is no longer effective.

00;28;06;14 - 00;28;26;10
Lisa
And I would argue that it was never really effective in the past either. But that was a story that we told ourselves. But there comes a point in time where it's really ineffective, because now all it makes you feel is more shitty about yourself, and that's not a great place to work from. Imagine if you spoke to your kids the way you speak to yourself, like you should just know better.

00;28;26;10 - 00;28;48;04
Lisa
Would you say that to your kids? Well, maybe we do about some things, but you know, when they're really struggling with something, do you look at them and say, you stupid, you should. You should just know better. Like, what's wrong with you? You have the information. Just go do. The thing is that love is that compassion. Is that how you would want to show up for somebody you love and adore?

00;28;48;06 - 00;29;06;07
Lisa
So what makes it okay to show up for yourself that way? How many of you who have children when your kids are struggling, you're like, okay, how can I get you support? How can I support you? Do you need a tutor? Do we need to talk to a therapist? Do we need a counselor? How many of you show up for the people you love in that way?

00;29;06;09 - 00;29;19;24
Lisa
Yet when it's you struggling, you're like, oh, no, I'm not willing to invest in that. Because look at all the proof I have of all the things I know, but I haven't done things yet.

00;29;19;27 - 00;29;33;18
Lisa
Right? When you look at it that way, it's insane that we tell ourselves these stories insane.

00;29;33;20 - 00;30;14;23
Lisa
Oh, it's been a powerful few days for me. And there's a lot that is downloading and wanting to come through to you, because honestly, the place I am at in my business now and I love this work so much, and after spending time with these ladies, it is more important to me than ever that I continue to do this work so that women and men, but specifically women, can get out of their way and go create the things they want to create in their lives so that we can break generational patterns so that we can parent ourselves better, so we can parent our children better.

00;30;14;28 - 00;30;20;27
Lisa
So we create a new generation.

00;30;20;29 - 00;31;02;13
Lisa
A new generation of wealth, a new generation of empowerment, a new generation of courage where we know what it means to take personal responsibility. And it has nothing to do with doing all the things, taking all the responsibility for shit that's not ours. It's about embodying the person that you want to be so that you can have the business that you want, so you can create the wealth that you want so that you can have the relationship with your partner or your kids the way you want, so you can interact with the world and feel the way you want to feel without sacrificing yourself in the process.

00;31;02;13 - 00;31;28;25
Lisa
So if you're beating yourself up right now, that's what you're doing. You're sacrificing yourself in your life. You're being a victim to your to yourself and living in this place of martyrdom. And I just know that women will change the world if we can get out of our own way. But that means you gotta start telling yourself the story that you should have this figured out by now, because you've done all the courses.

00;31;28;27 - 00;31;49;03
Lisa
Because I hate to break it to you. Many of these self-help courses and books, they actually want to keep you in that vortex of, there's something wrong with you, you're broken. Look for a problem. Oh, there's another problem. What if there is no problem? What if you're just asking the wrong questions and you don't know where to look?

00;31;49;05 - 00;32;13;03
Lisa
I'm here with a map that will guide you to where you want to go and who you want to be. And I'm no bullshit about it. I'm not here to screw around. I'm here for those of you who are serious about taking responsibility for your life and letting go of the things you aren't responsible for so we can change the world together.

00;32;13;06 - 00;32;34;00
Lisa
So if that's you, check out the link in the show notes Lisa Carpenter, aka forward slash WW. If that's you and you want to have a conversation, I want to talk to you. So go fill out the form on my website, I'll get a notification and we'll set up, we'll set up a time to have a conversation.

00;32;34;00 - 00;32;57;08
Lisa
I want to hear where you're at. And if you want to fill out the market research form that I've been talking about, even that even that market research form, filling that out will give you clarity. Everything that I do hears about providing you an opportunity to transform. Just by asking yourself these questions. I will put that link in the show notes for you as well.

00;32;57;10 - 00;33;27;05
Lisa
So some weeks we got long episodes. Some weeks we have short episodes. As you know, I follow zero rules. It's just about getting phenomenal content out to you that can really help you think about things in a different way. Because when you change your perspective on things, you will change your life. You will change your life. So I've got so much more to say in the weeks to come, but until then, make sure that this week you make you a priority.

00;33;27;05 - 00;34;04;27
Lisa
Really ask yourself what it is you want and what it is you need for your own personal transformation, and so that you can feel the way you want to feel, and then take action on those things. Right? It might be hiring me. It might be going in writing the email that you've been putting off. Writing could be a million things, but give yourself permission to want what you want, need what you need, and get out of the story that you should have it all figured out and that you should be doing it by yourself, and that you should know better by now.

00;34;05;00 - 00;34;30;29
Lisa
If you stop telling yourself that story, how much might change in your life? What would be possible from that place of I know nothing, and I'm open and willing and curious about what's possible from a place of being empty. It's pretty cool place to work from. All right, so until next week, make you a priority. Take good care of you.

00;34;31;05 - 00;34;48;10
Lisa
Remember, you can be driven and ambitious and wanting more in your life, but you don't have to do it at your own personal sacrifice. Okay, have a beautiful week ahead and I will be back in your ears next week.
