Episode 130: Re-Release (How to Stop Yelling at Your Kids and Be a Great Mom)

Parenting, Podcasts

This episode is a special encore episode because Mother’s Day is coming up. It was among the first I put out for this podcast and it still rings true today. Back in the day, I was a real dragon mom. I yelled all the time at my kids and believed that if they’d just behave, then I’d feel better. But nothing was further from the truth. So I discuss my transformation into a mom who takes on the responsibility for my own feelings and behaviors and who developed a better relationship with myself and my kids.

7:28 – Reading my article from a few years ago about how to be a great mom

15:42 – What I learned and embraced as I continued to parent my boys

19:49 – Why shaming and blaming myself for the past is unnecessary

23:19 – How to not screw up your kids and ways to be a better mom
