(Full transcript below!)
I took a little trip with my hubby up to Sparkling Hills in Vernon BC, so that we could reconnect with each other, I could reconnect with myself, and unplug from being online.
I realized that I really love my work.
In fact I’ve always known that.
I really love my work.
Now I’ve created a lifestyle for myself where I am completely location independent, which means I can hit a beautiful spot like this, and still stay connected with my clientele, and stay connected with the ladies in my e-class.
But you know what?
It didn’t happen overnight.
In fact, I still remember the conversation I had with my coach probably two or three years ago now where I was talking about giving up my thriving personal training business.
I had a huge studio.
I had been teaching nutrition for years, but I was also a successful personal fitness coach.
I was terrified to give up my training clients because they helped to pay the bills, and I loved it (and them), AND I had a huge studio lease.
I also wondered what people would think if I walked away from everything that I had built, and really got all in to teaching my classes.
It was terrifying, and I’m so glad that I did it.
I really don’t know how it all came together to be honest.
I’ve looked back and thought;
How did I still pay all my bills?
How did I make all this happen for myself?
All I know is that I did.
It happened one step at a time, one day at a time, and now here I am.
I have created this amazing life and business that I absolutely adore with endless possibilities.
I’m telling you all of this because I want you to understand whether you’re following me because you’re a fellow coach, business woman or whether you’re following me because you’re really struggling with your body, and your relationship with food, and how to change it, you can.
You can change anything.
But it means that you have to be willing to put in the work.
You have to be willing to make the steps, and make the changes to create what you want for yourself.
It’s not going to happen overnight.
It may not happen in a week.
It may not happen in a year.
If you know where it is you want to go, and you’re willing to put in the time, you’re willing to take care of yourself, and you’re willing to be afraid, and go for it anyways, things can change.
Things can change.
And the next thing you know, you’ll be sitting back reflecting, and going, “Wow, when did I make this happen for myself? When did I lose this 50 lbs? When did I stop struggling with food? When did I stop beating myself up?”
It’s possible.
I know it’s possible because I hear it from the clients I work with all the time.
So although things will never be perfect because perfect doesn’t exist, (case in point, I would never have even shot this video six months ago because my hair isn’t done, and my makeup’s not done), It’s not about that.
It’s about having the courage to show up for yourself every day, do the things that you need to do for you to help make your life better, to help make your life peaceful, to make your life fun and easy because it’s supposed to be.
Thank you for following along with me and thank you for sharing in my journey. I hope that something that I say inspires you to take action in creating your own amazing life, and to create your own amazing relationship with food and your body.
