It’s not always easy being an entrepreneur. You might have admired what I’ve accomplished and cheered my success but you haven’t seen the whole picture. I wrote this because I want you to understand the whole picture. TRUST that my experience is much like yours.
There are not enough entrepreneurs sharing the truth behind the scenes IMO. Some days there are rainbows and other days it feels like the grey skies won’t clear. My passion for my work, the women & men I serve and WHY I was put on this earth always lifts me up but I’ve had to learn to honour the face down moments and let them teach me.
I tell all the men & women I work with….
Just stay in the room. Let people see you during all your moments. Connect. Be real. Be kind.

How many times I’ve felt defeated, have wanted to quit and throw in the towel.
If you only knew…
How many times I thought I wouldn’t get up, try again or have the courage to keep going.
If you only knew…
How many times I have doubted myself, struggled with insecurities and questioned my abilities.
If you only knew…
How many times I have judged myself, compared myself and made myself small believing I wasn’t good enough.
If you only knew…
How messy things have been behind the scenes, how often I’ve cried and wondered if it’s all worth it.
If you only knew…
How many times I’ve stomped my feet, thrown tantrums and berated myself for not knowing better.
If you only knew…
All the mistakes I’ve made, the money I’ve invested and the time away from my family I’ve given up.
If you only knew…
How hard I’ve tried, how frustrated I’ve felt and how alone some days were.
If you only knew…
My dreams did not come easy, that fear was always with me and that I struggled to embody success.
This journey to build my dream has been all of this and more…. and I’m still growing, learning and changing. I wanted to give you the perspective through my lens because THIS was my truth.
Some days I didn’t want to show up or even get out of bed. It would feel overwhelming with the day to day tasks of growing and running a business {and my family}. I wanted to just do the work I loved and leave the rest, but to see my dreams realized I had to be willing to do the things I didn’t always like.
There is no shortcut to achieving your dreams. There will be heartache and painful growth along the way. You can try to go around it but it will find you.
It’s easy to put me on a pedestal and think I’ve got it all figured out and that I’m one of the “lucky” ones. YOU are just like me and I am just like you, human. Having a full body spiritual, emotional & physical experience through this journey called life. I hope this inspires you by keeping it real, being honest and by showing you my beautiful mess. If I could keep getting back up then so can you. Take a rest, catch your breath, let yourself feel sad, defeated and lost and know you are normal. And when you’re ready, get up and try again, keep going and be kinder to yourself. Give yourself grace and compassion.
Facedown moments don’t define who we are. They are here to teach us, grow us and guide us to connect more deeply with ourselves. Whatever your goals are, I want you to know that I believe in you.
Keep believing in yourself.
