Episode 171: How You Can Embrace The Lessons In The Suck

Boundaries, Emotions, Parenting, Podcasts

In episode 171 Lisa shares her most recent ski trip and lessons in parenting her perfectionist, high achiever 10-year-old.

How often do you steal someone’s opportunity to save themselves because you’re jumping in to help?  This can happen frequently with our kids, but how much are we robbing them of the ability to be resilient if we’re always there to figure it out for them and with them?

There is so much to be learned by allowing ourselves and others to be in the “suck” of not being good at something.  To embrace the discomfort of not being where you want to be, but learning how to show up for ourselves with compassion and kindness.
